![]() Dan Ozarow was Project Manager of British Jewry’s overseas humanitarian aid arm – World Jewish Relief, between 2004-2007 where in addition to managing the Projects Office, he was Trust Fundraising Manager and overseas volunteer Programme Co-ordinator. During this time he made frequent visits on behalf of WJR to help establish development projects in countries as far afield as China, South Africa, Eastern Europe and Latin America. Having volunteered in Argentina to support local communities recover from the economic crisis of December 2001, he worked closely with both the new poor and indigent groups in shanty town areas. An executive member of the Make Poverty History Jewish Coalition and advisor to NGOs on development in the southern cone of Latin America, he speaks regularly at conferences in the UK on issues pertaining to Latin American social movements. Dan is currently a postgraduate student at the Institute for the Study of the Americas, University of London and specialises in social policy, social movements and labour rights. |
